Sad news: The Living Computer Museum in Seattle won't reopen and the collection, including the historic PDP-10, pivotal to the origins of #Emacs and #FreeSoftware, is set to be auctioned. Disheartened by the announcement of the OpenWrt One. A device specifically designed to run OpenWrt requires proprietary software for the WiFi to function. Even more disappointing to see @conservancy promoting this without mentioning the blatant software freedom issues, focusing instead on "repairability" and GPL compliance - except for the WiFi. This would not meet the @fsf RYF criteria. I wonder if the goal is to see how low the bar can go? #FreeSoftware #SoftwareFreedom #OpenWrt

I respect #Emacs. I really do. But right now I just wanted to move a sentence around and somehow I've read about marks, regions, kills, yanks, buffers, windows, frames, and the deep personal meaning of the Meta key.
