I have to make a potluck item. I am thinking of a cranberry cookie as I already have dried cranberries. Maybe turn them into a sauce and make a thumbprint style cookie. I'm worried about consistency. Do you guys think I should try to turn them into a jelly first or just sauce them?

I live with someone who is a devote coffee drinker as long as you can't taste the coffee. It's not a perfect duplicate but the caramel macchiato creamer is constantly sold out. So I made a suitable stand in with a few ingredients on hand. It's not perfect but it works. Sweetened condensed milk, a liberal amount of caramel drizzle and a dash of vanilla extract. It actually came out pretty good and will save a good amount of money and "it was sold out" heartache in my house. :)
