@ThomasWic @deighs Thoughts of "what I would give to go back in time and shake myself ... violently" used to consume me quite a bit. The best cure for it when it tries to creep back into my head, is closing my eyes and picturing the faces of my wife and children.

An Australian Senator posted this on Twitter in regard to the #newzealand attacks, and it was subsequently removed. 'Insensitivity' as a justification for forbidding discussions of the harsh reality of a tragedy, is little more than a mechanism for quashing opposition to continued reductions of liberty.Within hours, there were calls to restrict speech and firearms possession (not just in NZ). The darker sides of the Muslim faith are being ignored in favor of granting them full victim status.

@Debradelai I'm neither 'peddling venom', nor condemning innocent worshippers of the Islamic faith.Earlier, @REX provided a link to the CNN dump on #newzealand. Included in that dump were numerous articles with excerpts (see attached) essentially scolding the west for 'unabated islamophobia' and bigotry being the cause of such a horrific event, while ignoring events that lead to such bigotry in the first place.Innocents suffer for the action of monsters on both sides.
