Recently I've been spending time trying to fully automate the install and configuration of my Proxmox host. This will allow me to experiment with it more, and I'll finally get around to using some Ansible.I've also been looking into Incus, which looks like a cool bit of software for vm/container management.

I get spam calls quite frequently, and they're always the same thing; some Chinese automated message that eventually gets an English translation, telling me to pick up a parcel or something. It's super annoying, but easily avoided by not answering to numbers I don't recognise.The worst bit is that my number is spoofed and used for these spam calls also, so I get people calling me to ask why I called them when I didn't.I'm not going to the effort of changing number so I'm stuck with it.

@tokenwizard Cheers! I'm on iPhone but I assume there are equivalents. I'm not certain they would work in this case though since the calls come from normal mobile numbers that have been spoofed.

Still working away at automating the installation of Proxmox. To make the process unattended, I'm trying to find a way to boot the .iso which allows for booting it once for the installation process and only once, or else the installer will just keep running.I'm currently looking at PXE solutions, although this seems to be greatly complicating the situation. Maybe if I just create a script to create a GRUB entry for booting from the USB when I need to, that will be the simplest option.

Done! I've created a script that adds the option of 'Boot from USB' to Proxmox's GRUB menu then sets it as the default so that it boots into it after rebooting.This might be useful to others, so I'll tidy up my repo and can share it soon.

I'm gunna start a petition to remove the wee jelly from the top of an empire biscuit and replace it with literally anything. I'm not against the wee jellies in general, but I don't want one on my empire biscuit.As to what to replace it with? No idea. A Malteaser? Some caviar?

Currently in Crieff on a long weekend at the Hydro here. A bit of a strange feeling considering I went to school here for a couple years about 18 years ago. The place hasn’t changed much but it’s definitely different. Making the most of it with the wife and (almost) one year old.Hope you’re all hanging and enjoyable weekend!
