Está em curso a fase de subscrição pelos cidadãos europeus da iniciativa cidadã "Tax The Rich", que pretende a criação de um imposto sobre as (muito) grandes fortunas, a nível europeu, procurando utilizar o valor dos impostos numa transição ecológica e social justa, para todos.É necessário ultrapassar um determinado número de subscritores em vários países, em Portugal para atingir esse objectivo tem de haver mais de 14.000 subscritores (o número absoluto e a percentagem constam da página de subscrição). @futurebird all of the above (my dad, my mom knows people can't do everything well nor have the time to do it, she's my hero because apart from house repairs, she did everything else with high proficiency, for years on end, at home and on other people's homes).

@futurebird @scobiform my phone's antivirus catches around one malicious link per day. Haven't used other social media in months (years), but I remember it happening a lot more on the 🐦🗑🔥 and LinkedIn. You both make a good point.

@futurebird do not forget MAGA only hears "rogue cop... catch so... it can't happen... everyone else is allowed to commit crimes, murders at levels that we've never seen before" and deduce "crime is up and Democrats are catching cops instead of murderers". The "they" is never "us", it's always "the others" like some kind of bad, against MAGA and "Law and Order", collective entity.

@futurebird miniature racing car collector here, a scale model is a perfect (1:1 in details) model, under a different (smaller) scale of the original thing. For example, Ferrari would have a Ferrari 499P that won the Le Mans 24H in 2024 in Maranello, but I could have a 1:43 scale (shrunken 43 times, detailed, albeit non functioning) model of the original, real, car.

@futurebird I have heard it as a right's "good adjective" for PoC, they're "well articulated", as if PoC can't usually read, speak in public and conduct themselves as productive members of society. They often only say "he/she is articulated", hadn't thought of the "articulated like a python" way and it'll look bad, but from now on I'll laugh in their face when I hear it, thinking of PoC slithering about, crushing fascists like twigs.@glennsills

@unchartedworlds yep, that's the crux of many Law students when they get to the 3rd of 4 years around here, thwy think "I've been studying this for 2 years and I don't know anything to solve this problem, how can that be possible?!?". Then they start copying textbooks, cramming, then watch others solve the problem, etc., never asking themselves "can I try to do it, find out exactly what I don't know so I [unfortunately almost by themselves, because some college professors don't help students, at all] can start learning what I don't yet know?".@futurebird

A influência de Cavaco Silva e Passos Coelho em Luís Montenegro não podia ser mais visível: por causa de uma greve na CP porque o seu Governo "puxou o tapete" à Administração da Empresa, levando-a a incumprir um acordo celebrado com os Trabalhadores, aproveita agora para dizer que serão necessárias "alterações à lei da greve" porque "isto não pode continuar". Isto o quê? O Governo estar em gestão para dizer que não pode pagar o que as empresas públicas devem na sequência de acordos com os Trabalhadores, ou o Governo não estar em gestão para os seus membros andarem a fazer inaugurações e presenças em eventos que são actos de campanha e de propaganda política?Votem na Coligação PSD/CDS, depois admirem-se se tiverem bens confiscado por suspeitas da prática de um crime (mesmo sem nunca haver condenação judicial), se ficarem sem Segurança Social (mandam estudar a criação de regimes privados para quê, se não é para os implementar?) ou sem direito à greve (caso contrário, por que razão querem alterar a lei actual? Um agente da PSP disparou cinco vezes com a arma de serviço contra um autocarro da Carris por causa de uma discussão no trânsito.Um jovem ficou ferido com gravidade num olho. As imagens mostram que o projéctil de um dos disparos atravessou o autocarro de uma ponta à outra e ficou alojado a centímetros da cabeça do condutor do autocarro...Se fosse um cidadão comum, se ainda estivesse vivo (vd. Odair Moniz, mesmo desarmado foi assassinado) estaria logo detido e só daqui a largos meses via a luz do dia. The Google Play Store broke something while trying to update @moshidon even though it was installed through F-Droid, which broke the app and the ntfy notification setup I had implemented. Had to uninstall Moshidon from scratch, but with ntfy or not, now no notifications come through. Google is always messing with things it shouldn't, why? How can I solve this? Anyone? Os OCS que continuem a alimentar a extrema-direita com tempo de antena, a Polícia e o Governo que continuem a esconder até dos relatórios de segurança interna o perigo destes verdadeiros terroristas, e o "poema" de Martin Niemöller vai-se aplicar em Portugal em dois tempos. Parece que há uma maioria de portugueses que deseja colocar mais estrelas em camisolas de pessoas, que gosta que acabem com a Cultura para que seja aplicada a "cultura" do mais forte (a deles, mesmo que sejam mais fracos, em todos os sentidos).
