Does Firefox' lockPref() in autoconfig actually still work?I seem to recall I checked roughly 10y ago and came to the conclusion the code has been removed or at least not compiled into typical distributions, which saddned me because autoconfig was a brilliant thing back in the day. New business idea: Fediverse over UUCP. Store-and-forward would give me more time to decide whether I want to delete the crap I've just posted, and having to run/usr/lib/uucp/uucico -r1 -x9 mastodon-socialmight turn me on.* disclaimer: command from memory; invoked last time 30y ago.
