@stux it was only about 12 years go (2011?) when I started keeping most of my music collection on my phone, which then could use a microSD card of up to 32GB. (I upgraded in 2019 and now keep all of it on an installed 400GB microSD card.)I love music and I don't miss the old days...

@QasimRashid One of my pet peeves is when "civilians" is used to refer to "non-police".In the USA, aside from MPs, all police officers are civilians too, not military, and should be reminded often that they are part of the body of people they serve.

@christopher @sezduck @bibliomike Spock's Brain was pretty far out there.Even so, it had elements that I found interesting. For example, the device that allowed Spock's brainless body to walk around was nuts, but that Bones found amusement in using it was fun.

@mjg59 I expect that type of analysis to be done by the compiler or optimizer, where it's much cheaper to add than into hardware.

@mjg59 the compiler should be able to avoid generating illegal opcodes, jumps to nonsensical entry points, and memory access violations. (I don't expect the MMU to help with branch prediction, only throwing exceptions when violations occur.)

@mjg59 yeah, that's a tough nut for branch prediction hardware.

@KimPerales I think we've already seen other stories effectively with the same headline: "Saudi MBS Deal Profits Trump".How many do you suppose there are or will be before we're allowed to call him an unregistered agent of a foreign power?

@mjg59 Are you really a "full stack" engineer if you're not writing all the firmware too?

@adam Those are some small parts.I dislike going smaller than 0805 if I can avoid it. (I'll use 0603, but that's where I start working with a microscope.)If you have calipers you could check the PCB for fit. Remember that the names are in hundredths of inches.
