       @icecubesapp Perhaps a setting for the user to enable/disable the fetching of new posts in the background. I prefer to fetch new posts only when I pull down the timeline from the top. Fantastic job on this app!

       Tonight’s #astrophotography challenge was to target the Orion Nebula and Pleiades star cluster untracked with my Canon SL1, 55-250mm EF-S kit lens (fully zoomed to 250mm, f5.6), ISO 800. These are 150 x 1s photos stacked with #siril and processed with #gimp. I am still learning, and these photos are still noisy - but I am surprised what you can capture with a basic DSLR and #foss software.

       @TonyStark As a resident of Oklahoma (and also father to a young journalist who studied under Dr. Senat mentioned in the article), I am ashamed that these horrible, racist people hold office in a remote corner of my state. However, I am glad (and honestly, surprised) the governor called for their resignation. Please know that this Oklahoman and many others like me are disgusted by this behavior.

       I will admit that I may not have all of the information, but I do not understand why everyone is so upset about #Threads federating. I thought the whole point of the Fediverse was to allow servers to connect, and the AP protocol allows us to block users or even move to an instance that blocks Threads. How is Threads any different than any other instance? I have control of my timeline, and Meta can only harvest data that I share publicly. What am I missing?
