@freemo @Ryle @kravietz @ufoi @greg @t1c @SolSoCoG @dump_stack @gregory @joaopinheiro @evan @selea @jonnypencils @steve @thatonecalculator The only thing I might add is that the first rule is too long to be accepted as a rule in Mastodon. 😂 Perhaps we can work on see if there are ways to communicate more effectively? Or with brevity?

@ufoi This might be an obvious answer, but when reading the proposition it says that all instances in UFoI should federate with each other. How do I do that on my instance? Is it something I must actively do? Or, is it more that I should not block any UFoI instance?

Tankarna gĂ„r kring ”Better the devil you know”.

@mjg59 If someone else struggles with what forbidding “cis” means I found that “cis” means “on this side” and is used instead of “trans” which means across to refer to non-transgender people. Using terms such as man or woman reinforces cisnormativity, and that instead using the prefix cis similarly to the way trans is used would counteract the cisnormative connotations within language. That’s why forbidding the use of “cis” is a blow at the trans community.

@victor @hybridhavoc @NotMyBub I understand the reasoning behind that. But asking users is sort of like Musks “Vox populi” I think. What if your server user count doubled? Would that still be outcome?Mastodon users have a great set of tools to moderate their own experience. That’s one of the great things about Mastodon, I think. So, I’m wary about doing limitations on an instance level since it will affect all current and future users. #mastoadmin

@victor @hybridhavoc @NotMyBub Maybe it’s too close to parenting?Where you have others in your care where you need to be both nurturing and policing at the same time. Not always an easy balancing act. I can say from experience that it takes practice and lots of mistakes. That’s why my “server motto” is: Choose to be kind. We all make mistakes, let’s not double down on them. Every situation can’t be fair. An eye for an eye-thinking is not constructive. #mastoadmin

@kravietz From my understanding the best outcome would have been if they made more damage in Russia before being crushed totally. This would weaken Russian forces more and eliminate Wagner group. Prigozhin doesn’t seem like a person that could lead Russia to a stable peace with the world.
