@futurebird Personal opinion but I think Fascists see the value and power of an education and that is one reason to make sure the populace is not educated. You want to control what people learn and how people learn it. I would say that this is the same perspective that slave owners in the United States had and kept slaves ignorant beyond what they would teach them. Also, the same policy that certain conservatives continue in the South. Education = Freedom + Power!!!

@futurebird agreed. I leave all the time. If I need a sub then I don't need to read your article. If you don't like me having an ad blocker, then I don't need to read your article. I think a buck is a bit much though. They should make it a quarter. I'd pay a quarter for an article. If they have a lot of readers they'll make money and if they can convert people to paying does it matter that it is under a dollar?

@Nonilex @ASegar He's not a stoic philosopher like his pupil's pupil Marcus Aurelius. It doesn't teach morality or ethics like the bible.I kid you not, that was the explanation from one of my college "educated" friends who is a Trumper.I now really suspect his degree from a Texas A&M. He studied history which sounds more like Texas history than US or World history.He mows lawns though because he didn't know what to do with a history degree?!? And he think college is worthless.
