@Matter well...I when to the emergency library, searched for harry potter because i don't like the genre and wouldn't be tempted to read it, and was able to download all hp books without drm. didn't ask me to check them out.then i looked for other books that would normally have a waiting list because they are new and popular. was able to check out several meaning that the same version was checked out to more than on person, which can't normally happen in a library. issues abound with the IA

@kev I've never liked Joe and quit listening to all of his shows. But this is harsh. It's not that I don't like him. He seems like his heart is in the right place. I just don't like his "I hate everything" vibe he gives. Finally got tired of it and dropped all Joe feeds from my catcher.But the C word is known to be in his on air vocabulary.Seems like the wrong move to me. But, "Oh well."

@mike @kev @emory Understood and agreed. I've had to look at my own behavior and realize things I used to do are not only inappropriate at work, but also unacceptable. I hope things work out for Joe and can't judge because I don't have context. But we have to get our heads around what's ok at work even if we think we're only around friends.

@oranje @mike @kev @emory I suppose it depends upon the details. But how many training courses, emails, notifications, #metoo posts, yearly diversity training courses does one need to go through to get that there are limits to what is ok at work?Especially if it's the kind of situation I've seen more than I'd like where the person is also a bully one would rather not confront and in an environment which has let the behavior persist.

@poiuytrewq well the hit r1 beta one in 2018 and now r1 beta2. i think they're picking up steam! but this coming from a guy who's been installing reactos on real hw since it had the old name, which i can't remember now.i used to joke about which project i thought would hit v1.0 and if it would be before i die. still not sure which will hit 1.0 but i'm pretty sure it will be after i die.

@poiuytrewq there is menuetosi don't understand what people mean by "seems dated". or i don't see that as a negative. i have found precious little usefulness in new desktop paradigms to warrant the rearrangement of things.so i really don't get it. i also don't get it when people say things like, "i can't use a kde application because i run some other de and it doesn't look integrated". i'm like, "the applications still work great. that's all i want them to do"

@poiuytrewq I realize I'm in the minority. I guess I should make it known that I only use DEs that I can quickly configure to have the classic windows ui or close enough.So it goes right over my head when someone complains about things looking dated :)
