@dick_turpin Last time that happened to me I was directed to my GP.They diagnosed it remotely though, so wasn't a massive hassle in the end.

@dick_turpin I'm not even sure if I can just drop in to my GP to be seen. It's certainly not worth trying to ring them.Had decent results with their online system, but the last time they actually wanted me to come in I was waiting 6 weeks for an appointment.

@clive I had one of these (or one very similar) on my desk when I first started work in the 90s. Spent a lot of time carefully printing and cutting out labels for those buttons.

@dick_turpin I remember when the easiest way to get a new distro was from the front cover of Linux Format magazine because downloading one would have taken forever.I think you used to be able to order a bunch of disks from Ubuntu (for free) to hand out at user group meets.

@dick_turpin Certainly were.There's a lot to be said for how easy it is to find the answer to a problem now, but I had the most fun draging my computer down to the local LUG meet to figure it out with someone else.

@clive My main machine is a Thinkpad T440p. I've upgraded the screen, RAM and storage. God knows how old it is, but it's old. I've run it as a Hackintosh for the past five years and its really, really difficult to come up with any reason to replace it. Fantastic machines.
