       Here's a #Mastodon specific question: How are folks able to do long posts? I've seen some with a long post content warning that use way more than the 500 characters I seem to be limited to.

       Is there a name for the tendency for humans to trust the advice and opinions of strangers instead of people we know?ex. When I was consulting full time I would tend to seek out the silenced frustrated people with ideas for solutions. Then I’d parrot what they told me. And, if they consented, I’d give them credit.I do the same thing in some cases.There must be name for this.
