@ConsoleWitch Honestly usually I just roll my eyes and then complain about it with my wife. Sometimes I’ll counter someone I’m close with, but I choose to minimize how much I associate with people whose religious views are determined by their political views. I feel like if you’re religious, it should be the other way around.

@ConsoleWitch Thanks! I don’t claim to be perfect, but my main religious focuses are 1) worry about my standing with God not other peoples’ and 2) help/treat other people how I think Christ would have helped/treated them, which is to say liberally and without regard for where they stand relative to my religious viewpoint.

US government officials have relied too heavily on social media to pass along emergency alerts rather than improving what were once robust stand-alone systems. These systems still exist and reach the vast majority of Americans (NOAA weather radio is the main one), but the technology is severely outdated because they’ve just twiddled their thumbs and were comfortable with social media because it was easy.
