I know that Mastodon.Online is one of the big instances, and this is also one of the bigger accounts as well. When two #Jews called out the absolutely vile #antisemitism of his post we got blocked.We tried to give him the opportunity to address his post, and now we can't even report it for them to review.Please report his post. Now I feel like a real member of Mastadon. I have a favorite block.On Twitter, my favorite was when I got blocked for liking a Tweet by a person who was still followed by the blocker.On Mastadon, it was when I asked why repealing a 100-year old law that banned cohabitation by the unmarried meant we were regressing to the Dark Ages (to a progressive). It resulted in a deleted and repost with more quotes. I asked for further clarification. They deleted, then blocked.Excellent stuff.

@serge @gavi This is my wife's experience as well.The really expensive ones really are very nice, but some of the lower budget ones are still very good. I think she said her sweet spot is $50-$70 where you are often getting comparable to $150-$200 pens.

@futurebird I agree with you.Setting up and running small specialized forums, then moderating larger ones, were formative internet experiences for me. Both in regards to online as well as adult socialization.It could even be set up so that the school hosts servers (they could even show students where their site/forum is hosted), and then walking them through setting up a site and managing it.Like a "Set up a site for something you are interested in: comics, music, a television show, a blog, just set something up."The bonus that this would be good for the internet as well is a separate issue.

@futurebird Maybe an unpopular one, but I am saying Roberts because you asked which is the most "morally compromised" and Roberts has the largest gulf between what he considers to be "good" and what he has actually done.The fact that what Alito and Thomas believe to be "good" is appalling to me does not detract from the fact that they do seem to be genuinely pursuing what they believe is good, horrifying as that is.Second place probably goes to Thomas, who I believe did not originally intend to be like this but has been a perfect example of "each step seemed so reasonable". Alito has just always been a monster, and Kavenaugh is a moral failure primarily on a personal level rather than as a matter of policy.

It ended up being essentially a reading of a Twitter thread by a (seemingly) totally random person with no power or influence.So, if the article is just to say that it is alarming what kinds of antisemitic things get traction... well, we can all read Twitter for ourselves if we want.They didn't seem to actually explore the topic at all.But Jewish authors are still feeling unsafe. Some are losing out on European contracts for American books that mention Jewish themes.
