@RustyCrab it's because they are disgusting freaks who have lost even their sense of asthetics. where I shop thankfully I don't see as much of that so I forgot about it but there was one brand of snack bars (i forget the name) or whatever that I saw doing that last year and stopped buying them. i think the place I go is mainly shopped at by boomers so they don't push that trash as hard.

@kirby @FrailLeaf arch elitism is not really a thing anymore imo. distros like openbsd and gentoo are were the real elitist types are now. it was definitely a thing in the past though if you look through arch forum posts from the early to mid 2010s where people were told to fuck off and had their threads immediately locked by jannies for not reading every arcane footnote scrolled away in the corners of the arch wiki.

i tend to write stuff out of order, so things end up horribly mixing up grammatically sometimes if I don't reread it all before posting. I probably almost seem esl sometimes even though English is my only language and I am really just horribly scatter-brained.
