i think io in linux 5.16 is just borked to all helli tried making a live usb to boot into and do more thorough diagnosis of my drive thats having issues, and after booting into that live usb which is both a usb and on a totally different filesystem, im getting the same hung task messages and whole system lockups due to io just not workingtirggered it in the usb by attempting to install the gnome metapackage and it got to about 200/400 packages installed before the first freeze which lasted about ten minutes before resuming and installing another 20 packages then freezing againi dont really want to have to redo the usb from inconsistent package state so im just waiting for it to slowly limp along to completion and i hate itidek where or how to report this issue and i cant find anything like it online already
