@nixCraft You mean the country that still uses inches/miles instead of SI-meters, fahrenheit instead of SI-Kelvin/Celsius etc.? Why do you wonder about dates, they are just a tiny fraction of it...Can you tell me (by heart), how many inches give a mile?Or how many cubic inches give a gallon?

@stux I'm a 57 years old german. In my youth I had opportunities to talk with contemporary witnesses and I heard stories that chilled me to the bone.Like a women having a small company and her jewish workers were being deported. She went to the adminstration and said she needs these workers and they told her if she isn't quiet now, she'll also get deported. She never saw these workers again.It is much easier to lie to people now the witnesses have died.

"Technokratie" ist die Herrschaft der Sachverständigen.https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/TechnokratieDas Problem mit der Technokratie ist natürlich, dass Sachverständige nicht notwendiger Weise im Wohle der Allgemeinheit handeln.Technikverehrung, wie Du sie schilderst, ist meist eine Ausrede um die Lösung sozialer Probleme zu verschieben.
