@Dr_Obvious @adam I have not yet informed myself about graphene os. In what capacity would you use it?Signal is great but not the right thing for my usecase. It is not federated (afaik) so its not what I want.

@martyn @adam my main goal is getting independent of megacorps. Switching from plex to jellyfin would not advance this so i will do it when the time is right. Atm, I am focused on getting into kodi (which might also be a good replacement).

@adam @Dr_Obvious honestly, I think it is insane how many cool tools are out there in the open source space. I would have never thought that bridges for such a young thing as matrix are this far in development. But you’re right. Developers are needed in general and its still a very sought after skill and many reasons keep people out of open source development.Not sure yet how to change that.

@adam @martyn I dont know about the client and server thing but I‘m talking about plex (which is also not made by a mega corporation and therefore brought me closer to my goal). Additionally, I‘m working on kodi for unrelated reasons and probably wont need jellyfin for now.I can see how my wording wasnt ideal to avoid misunderstanding.

@MursalinT @JoeRess quick heads up from germany. We tried the „not give it more attention“. doesnt work that way. We are now instructing citizens how to defend and support each other while pulling as much of it into the open as we can. A #holocaust survivor gave back their #bundesverdienstkreuz (the only general award of valor for the federal republic of germany) because the chancelor started collaborating with fascists. He asked the new german nazi party (legally recognized nazis at the helm and over 700 lawyers signed a letter deeming them hostile to our constitution) to help him push a law to limit immigration to germany. The former chancellor (angela merkel) even condemned his actions.

@Nonilex While there is no doubt about trump and putin being in the same boat, they are both just consequently thinking the immoral idea of capitalism to its conclusion.It is therefore not shocking in the slightest that this happens and one can even see what will happen next.If we take into consideration, that we all went off the rails in 1991 and embraced a backwards system, we can see the solution.There are many states and groups that show us the alternative. @EUCommission I have an idea that would be fitting. But that symbol is not yet allowed in germany again. How to submit without legal problems? ;)(Edit: Since some people dont understand sarcasm, I'll explain. I am suggesting the EU should use explicit symbols to reveal the inhuman and incresingly racist stance of their member states. I am of the opposite extreme. My symbols would be red star or hammer and sickle.)
