@ihavebigtits no, it is not. we can only have some intuitions. we can only feel its presence.

@ihavebigtits i see... do you think we can only accept what we can rationalize? you cannot rationalize intuitions without destroying them. they are almost always accepted immediately to the point we don't even perceive them.

@ihavebigtits well sometimes it is easy to confuse both or to rationalize the intuition to fit our convictions.

@ihavebigtits normally intuitions are in perfect harmony with reality, and to oppose reality is something that makes no sense. it is a senseless battle that cannot be won and brings only pain and suffering. i'm sorry.

@ihavebigtits not normal means you are probably confusing something other with intuition. but that's only what i think. not really important. i could lie to you and say i'm not sorry, but i really am. i don't know how much romanticized you got this idea, but you are in a fool's errand trying to oppose reality. and if you are proud of it, i can only feel even more sorry.

@tn5421 the truth is they were counting on youtubes format and algorithms. if they were on their own, they would barely have any audience. they have an audience just because yt is a modern kind of tv. people go there just because it is easy to have things rubbed to their faces. they will not make the effort to go to multiple websites and wait to download torrents with almost no seed. it is too much effort for them.

@tn5421 im all for going out of centralized platforms, don't get me wrong. we have a lot of free and open options that would work a lot better than yt, in my opinion. but both content creators and the viewers are low effort. they are comfortable with what they have and prefer to make hours and hours of videos whining in yt about yt, than to spend some time working on a true solution, and even if they do, there will be just a few in the audience.

@tn5421 it is pretty easy to replicate. that's not the problem. the problem is the cost of infrastructure. you have to be the first seed and to store all those videos, specially hq videos, you have to pay for storage. and if you have a few seeds, the stream will not be reliable too. you just have to use bitchute for some days to get what i mean. or to try some peertube instances.

@tn5421 i know, what i was trying to say is: everything is possible, if you are willing to pay for storage and bandwidth, and if you are willing to spend time to solve the problems that will appear. and most people don't want to do that. they just want to upload their videos to yt and maybe to do some moderation on the comments. and nothing more, beside cashing some ad money.
