@🎓 Dr. Freemo :jpf: 🇳🇱 @admitsWrongIfProvenAfaik (strait from memory) the Dutch started the Netherlands late, 17th century if I recall. Borders did move, I live in the Grafschaft Bentheim that was once part of the Netherlands afaik, would need to dive in it.

@🎓 Dr. Freemo :jpf: 🇳🇱 The Dutch indeed started early. Currently I have access to an extended family tree from both the Dutch and the Germans. Some 5 years ago it was extended to Poland since I found I have a half brother there. The only missing link is a different half brother who had a Jamaican father. I only have one picture and a name, the half brother does not live anymore. Did know him but he passed when I was 13 and during those days parents hardly told their kids anything.

Lot's of young animals use food as toys. Ok, even older cats do that.I would not kill domesticated animals to feed myself to be honest. I am not a vegetarian/vegan person but I do consume less meat.Maybe we simply have to much food to kill them?

@🎓 Dr. Freemo :jpf: 🇳🇱 and the others in this discussion. In the Netherlands it is punishable to hit your kids since the beginning of this century to be honest. I think it is even stupid to need such laws, it should be a logical part of raising kids.Yeah, parents all make mistakes but some things are logical

Animals do not understand languages. they do know words but have no idea what the mean. If you use certain words on specific events they start to grasp them. A lot of tone intonation is part of the process.Our dog 'talks' to use. bumping my knee if I forget to give her food but also wold like hauwling if she is happy we are home again.Suppose we can assume it is a natural language
