Here another reason I'm very unhappy with #peertube. There is this radical anti-patriacal video being published today on peertube. Next to that video, peertube recommends a video of#BryanLunduke, a white cis dude that claims antifa is terrorism and that riseup.net is the email provider of the antifa terrorist organisaton, and asks mozilla to stop giving support for them. Lunduke you are a piece of shit!Peertube devs. start listening more! ...the other videos I don't know what it is. ok I clicked on it, and the next video I'm getting recomended is now some conspiracy bullshit about "NWO" and corona. Nearly every of those bullshit theories are linked to protecting the patriacal social order. If this is not gonna be fixed soon, I will switch from calling peertube "not ready yet", to calling it a piece of shit that should be opposed. Where's the fork?

#tox is a protocol focused on secure #p2p communication. It encrypts everything by default and uses some onion rooting for privacy preserving. It also makes it easy to let all its traffic go over #tor. You can have group chats, and even audio/video conferences. have you tried?Clients using this protocol are available for #linux, #freeBSD, #android and more. It can be used over tor without ip adress leak caused by UDP, since it is blocked on request (some clients on default, some on default if you use tor) and will switch to TCP instead. This makes it possible to be usable for tor and for non-tor users. afaik, #jitsi sticks to #UDP. For tor users, that's an issue. How many people can join a conference so that it still works? I don't know. Would you like to test this? @jasper it's hiding the ip for the rooting process, when first tryn to connect to someone. It uses some onion rooting with 3 jumps. so your ip is not getting written into the public visable hashtable. Once you connect to a friend, both will see their ip, unless you use tor, which tox supports. For group chat, it seems also that the ip is not leaked to everyone participating in it, but potentially only to those that you have added as a friend. it communicates over your friends, to their peers. And then in theory, should only ever need to reveal their ip (that can still be hidden with tor) to their own friends.(that's how I understood it, but I'm just at the very beginning of that research. So it might also be that I got it wrong. )#tox For how less I've seen this being used, I was very surprised how well it works.
