@alyssawitchcraft Culture is not a harmful construct, it's an important concept in anthropology, a field with a strong tendency to be against current cultural biases and constructs.Could you clarify what you mean by "pedophile culture"? Do you just mean artistic works and symbols?

the only legitimate "child protection organization" would be a militia that literally defends children from state agents and family after refusing school / running away / threatened with psych wards / would be arrested or their partner arrested.

@alyssawitchcraft the fallacy card was a meme. linking readings is not a low form of discourse if we measure discourse by content, not effort put in. granted, linking an article without having read it oneself might be. with the exception of loving boys editions I and II, i have read everything in the list and suggest it for a reason. if after reading you are still conflicted, then message me and i'll be willing to write more specifically about other papers that might not be included in the list.fyi i don't believe in the psych industry at all. i'm interested in anthropology, not psychology. though useful studies can sometimes be categorized as psychology, i think the field by and large is naturalizing the way humans in western post-industrial societies are.

@alyssawitchcraft lastly, to explain my response, i have met many people who are not interested in changing their beliefs, who will act entitled and expect me to provide them with information to a degree that greatly exceeds standards of evidence typically used and conclusively disprove their personal speculations yet still not change. this has made me cynical and im generally dismissive by default as a result.
