@aspie4K @tychi @happy_stringtime @pleiades Will do! The world out there makes me political but it's so frustrating. That's why I'm on Fosstodon because I like and respect open source even though I haven't got a clue about creating any. Even if I can't relate to much of the techie stuff people talk about, at least I can see they care and there's hope as we go more into the digital age.

@pleiades @unicornfarts FYI I have been following Dr Mercola for over 10 years. The advice on his website (which is all about prevention) has saved my life. He has genuine concern for people and helps them control their own health and think for themselves.Instead of believing what his opposition wants you to hear, you'd do well to read his articles and check all his references closely, so you can be sure you have the facts and no misinformation.

@pleiades Nice one. I think our bodies naturally know what is good for us and bright white light usually isn't. My eyes are poor though so I use bright 200w old fashioned bulbs for reading but they have a nice yellowy glow. Monitors use LED afaik so we can't get away from them yet. They are OK for waking us up in the morning but should be turned off 30 mins before bedtime -- that works for me at least.

@danslerush It's a PR exercise, imho. After the initial resistance they'll offer their help and resources so it's easier for open-source coders to assist in the Gobbler's "noble mission". In a way it is encouraging because perhaps they can't get their tentacles everywhere after all, because open-source is doing such a good job.

@pleiades The Real Truth is beyond words but can be experienced. It is not so much attained as felt or realized. You already have it within you keeping you alive. It is Life itself which is infinite. How do I know? Because of the experience. I was shown it by Prem Rawat. It is not a belief but something you know. You can see it, feel it, hear it, taste it, touch it etc. It is that real. You will never figure it out with you mind because it is beyond mind and needs a silent mind to experience it.

@pleiades Health professionals are respected and most people just believe what they are told. So health is a great vehicle for Gates to spread his influence around the world.Similary, educational pros are listened to as if they know stuff that the rest of us aspire to. So my logical conclusion is that Gates will use the edu sector for his own ends, sending his "educators" to Africa with an "advanced" curriculum with a transhuman or eugenics agenda to setup a post-virus society rebuild.

Has anyone noticed any positive changes since Aral Balkan wrote this wonderful article 2 years ago? I haven't used Facebook, Google, Youtube and others since. It's done me no harm at all, I feel much better for it. I'm not a techie and don't need a mobile phone either, so it might be more difficult for many of you.
