@EdS @timrb I went back to my high school after I graduated in the late 80s/early 90s, and saw their BBC lab. I was enthralled. The whole lab could use the disk drives in the one computer. You could mix graphics and text. It was really cool.If you're in England, you'd say this wasn't out of the ordinary, but at a high school in Ohio? That was ground breaking.Sad to know what happened to them... I'm assuming in a landfill somewhere. 😞

@realcaseyrollins I don't think subscriptions could ever come close to what advertising brings in. Without advertisers, Twitter is dead.

@realcaseyrollins Twitter's debt is going to doom them without advertisers.They almost broke even in 2021 with revenue of ~$2/month per person (217M).However, at $8/month they would need 125M paying subscribers just to make the $1B debt payment each year.

@realcaseyrollins Disregard my terrible math. It's only 10.4M $8/month subscribers to make $1B/year, so that makes it a lot more doable!

A far cry from the $1B they have now.They would have actually made money in 2021 except for $800M charge to settle a class action shareholder lawsuit.

@shelby I switched to a self-hosted install of Shaarli (https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli) a few years ago. My bookmarks are still outdated, but at least I can group them with tags and save them from any browser that I'm using. 😎My next step is to integrate Shaarli with Archivebox, so my bookmarks will never break.

@shelby It’s great, I just threw it in a folder under my Wordpress installation. Set the correct permissions on your files and it’s good to go. It should run anywhere you can use PHP.

@twizzay @Sonikku The USB stick doesn’t show up as a source for RetroArch, I had to use FX Explorer to copy the ROMs to the internal drive. That being said, it works fine for 8-bit games!!
