@vidyut @zigzackly @dpanjana adding my 2 paise here that none of those likely to be targeted in any such exercise are waiting for a resistance to gather steam. Most are girding up and collecting documents to ensure they beat the system - which did work by and large in Assam. So there's a need to support such efforts as well.

@vidyut @zigzackly @dpanjana having said that those of us privileged and confident enough of being included should make a whole lot of public noise, starting now. Ideally get the celebrities. Would Shah Rukh do an ad quoting his own dialogue - "My Name is Khan and I'm not a terrorist, so why should I go through NRC?", for instance? Others?

You really have to ask how those being investigated for crimes never seem to get their passports impounded, while those who have fought for people's rights in this country for decades find themselves under arrest, unable even to get bail. #GovernmentByTerrorism #DefendDissent
