       @nutomic It did let me upload a vid that was slightly over 500mb, does the instance do something to shrink it down? Or do I have to keep it below 500mb?

       @nutomic gotcha, yeah I can reduce them to 500mb. Would you also consider running the instance as a nonprofit by letting users submit more than 500mb per day if they donated like lets say $5 per month on liberapay?

       @malin @codythedragonrude 500mb is plenty for me and i upload 1080p/60FPS videos. that size limit is per video with no overall size limit. Most instances cap you at a certain overall size limit. And you could always ask the admin if he can let you post more :)

       @pixelfed well thats a good argument for leaving pixelfed.social registrations open. The smaller instances on a new fediverse tend to be more volatile so will come and go. Pixelfed will need at least one instance that ppl can rely on until more instances become more robust 😊

       @dansup good decision. Even though i'd like text only posts i feel like there does need to be discussion how to best implement it.I think best thing to do is to have different timelines for images, text/micro blog posts, blog posts, video posts :)

       @pixelfed will this be opt in? The biggest thing i dread in facebook is seeing profile suggestions for people i don't care about and being seen/found due to my profile being shown on ppl's suggestions 🧐
