@tek @anna @clacke When I realized I'd blown two hours hand editing X/Y coordinates in my fvwm config so I had sculpted min/max buttons and WindowMaker style rollup, I knew I had a problem.

@tek @anna @clacke Absolutely. I get in this weird loop when I'm working on something and notice I do the same thing more than once in a workflow and I go "OOO, let's make it so you can click here, and summon satan on two cores and rebase your git repo". It's bad enough I still have a bash profile, ffs.

@tek Absolutely. I'm sure my co-workers could discern my mood by whether I decided to wear Birks or Docs.

@thegibson I have regretted nearly every job that I had that squiggly feeling about engaging during this phase. Trust your gut, and whatever you do, don't listen to advice from internet randos.Whoops.

@tek This gives me hope, because I had thought my morning routine with my Pibble. I am contractually obligated to sit on the floor with my legs forming the border of a doggie bed while he headbutts and sniffs my armpits.

@tek Yeah, it just started out with me sitting down and scratching his head. Also I meant to type "...hope because I thought my morning routine... was weird" I will be looking into fixing the palm rejection on this stupid laptop ASAP

@Main_Tomato I catch your gist, and don't disagree. It's also not accurate to say boomers run all these dumpster fires. I'm solidly X, and have worked for companies in this industry helmed by GenX and younger.A problem is outrage sells, and greed is universal. They (corps) sell it to the boomers, because they probably have the most net worth overall. Not trying to needlessly nitpick here, but think blame isn't isolated.

@thegibson I'm thinking they are realizing they need to staunch the bleeding after the India exodus. In a way, this seems like a move to eliminate a threat that hasn't been much on their radar. I also hope they fail utterly for obvious reasons.

@tek why are you doing that? I remember t watching it on TV when it came out and, even as a very young child, was like WTAF?!?!I think Grandpa Woolie's porn freaked me out the most.

@tek I saw them line in Cleveland, and it was literally one of the best shows I've seen. Not for flash or any gimmicks, but they nailed every song.
