@stux What makes it most terrifying (in my mind) is that the offer was put forth with Chief Weasel's interpretation of unjustified persecution. Basically, this offer would open himself up for a legal challenge because the way he fired people who worked for Twitter that said critical things about him, but given that he owns the threshold, it's clearly an effort to punish companies he doesn't like, and protect himself at the same time. "I will be your avenging angel, all you have to do is pledge your soul to me."

On the list of demotivational things in the world: When someone tells a joke, and you respond with another joke, and they spend a page to tell you why you’re wrong. Yes, I understand that is not how the world of “high finance” works. That’s kind of the point of the joke.What this does is then it removes any incentive for me to respond to any other comments or jokes, because I don’t need an attempt at condescension or pedantry.

I think that I need to actually pound my chicken breasts every time I cook. The last time I grilled chicken the small (thinnest) piece was done well before the others. Normally I’d just shrug and move on, but it’s a simple step that’s going to impove my cooking.#technique #CookingTips

My oldest cat has always loved getting under a blanket with either me or my wife. I took the day off because I wasn’t feeling well, and for the first time ever (in her 12 years), she decided to explore something other than a blanket. She’s been snuggling with me for about ten minutes now, adjusting every couple of minutes. I can’t imagine it will last long, but I’ll treasure that it happened.
