@Malarkey33 FRS and GMRS radios can't legally have a removable antenna, but it is close enough that most UHF antennas will work just fine.So for instance, if you had an old Baofeng that allows you to transmit on MURS and FRS/GMRS frequencies, the dual-band antenna will break the law just as well as an FRS/GMRS antenna.I keep some of these around for disaster comms, but usually upgrade to a nicer antenna to extend the range.

@dever @coldacid LoRa USB dongles or LoRa integrated into a router/firewall.Ultimately, we each need a local device that collects and caches data for us, shares our content out directly or into a distributed shared storage network and resolves names within various namespaces as we desire.Normies just plug it in, visit a web interface and check the functions they desire the box to perform. The rest of us can roll our own (seems fitting on 420).

@ralphw The one thing I have learned over my life is that humans like to experiment (and don't always like to tell the subject of the experiment about it). If someone has a program to spray shit into the atmosphere, how long before someone has an idea they want to try...something game changing that could save the planet. Can you think of any "experiments" our own government may have run in secret?Do you really think they haven't been experimenting to control more than the weather?
