@briankrebs i think it is unrealistic and a low priority - they have no money to spend on low priority stuff like this example - so there site goes down once or twice a year, they can just blame cloudflare; if it gets more common like lately then maybe

@rms they are a valuable tool when used conservatively and ai is having massive impacts, most of them positive; there is no going back to before ai times, also ai is a work in progress. the biggest thing may be acceptance and wise use of local ai - don't expect it to give you a perfect answer - even a human won't do that

@rms kids need to dream and with the pace of ai even adults can speculate, folly is the idea you can ignore the signs and the fact that people really believe in ai and are willing to make the leap by putting money up - that is a high bar, they are not total fools. the best advice is to reserve jusgement and see what 2026 brings - ai will continue to make progress
