@killyourfm I'm saying early positive reviews are, by their nature of being a gift, biased. (Steam reviews even have an indicator for it.)Consider all those VIPs who stepped out from the premiere of, say, 'Rise of Skywalker' that they were invited to, and gushed to the press and social media about how great it was. There's a bias in the special treatment. It's natural.That doesn't mean it's NOT good. Ut may well be! But we won't really know until whatever it is gets it's general release.

@killyourfm Not to keep harping on this, but I think there's a distinct difference between lifting an embargo early and this. Reviewers aren't guaranteed to give a favorable response. So they know that lifting the embargo means potentially opening themselves up to whatever real opinion is.That I get.What I'm suggesting is more like cherry-picking people you 'trust' to give reviews you'll like by showing it to them early on.

@realhackhistory Just to toss in some data points, here's what Google and Bing are showing me. (I don't have access to the ChatGPT functions/results on Bing yet.)Google's "featured snippets" have always been horrible and very often wrong. That they'd keep them, after all this time, still riddled with errors, gives me little faith either company will bother getting this right.

I just realized #Twitch doesn't have any kind of single, one-stop monthly site-wide subscription option so you can just enjoy the site without ads. Like a premium viewer subscription.Instead, each streamer becomes an independent island that has to hope whoever is watching at the moment gets attached to them and opens up their wallet JUST for them.Twitch is probably quite happy with this arrangement, since they can still show ads most of the time when your favorite streamer's broadcast has ended and you're forced to go "channel surfing". Assuming you don't just close the tab.Is a subset of fewer, but comparatively expensive subscriptions better than a slow constant trickle from hundreds watching simultaneously? 🤔 Someone's getting fucked here.
