@maxcoutard Actually, out of all the spacecraft I learned to draw, the Shuttle was the hardest. It's visually simple and elegant, but I still always had a hard time getting the wing span/length to fuselage ratio right. It took a lot of practice, and I still had to work from fotos.(poster May 2001)

@galacticstone Did they actually see you doing this? They may have guessed something was up.Minnie can always tell when I'm trying to pull shit on her.

@galacticstone We got a little kitty basket for Minnie to sleep in when she was young, but she'd already picked out her favorite places to sleep, and by god, that's where she's going to sleep. It's like the scratching post for her; she sees it, but simply notes it as an option.

@xenophora Oh, god, THIS.Christ, this bit was excruciating — and by "excruciating" I mean, of course, "awesome".And yeah, I wasn't crazy about this episode, but it was mostly because of the "movie" — which, ironically, was originally shot for telecast on PBS.Dear god, what a piece of crap. As a Bogart fan, the half-assed evocations of "Casablanca" made me cringe... and the effex in the scene where the computer goes nuts — oh, jeezus, it was like a goddamn kids' show.

Well, you can take off the tinfoil hats, gang. Amazing what you can find out by just asking around for yourselves instead of just repeating whack-ass psyops conspiracy theories all over the goddamn place:Here's what the deal is — in Boston, at least:https://blog.penelopetrunk.com/2020/06/18/protesters-in-boston-are-setting-off-fireworks-all-night-every-night-and-its-working/

@galacticstone I have this one old, beat-up Ikea easy chair in my studio which is my "sacrificial chair" — it was one of the chairs Minnie first went to when she was younger, and rather than try to shoo her away from it, I decided to just let her have it so that she'll stay away from the nice chairs and sofas. It's still fine for sitting in, and the cushions are still in decent shape, but the back is shredded.

@snowwraith I'm really liking this. Reminds me of an old Edward Gorey drawing.

Collages for the DW's upcoming birthday card, from fotos of this summer's garden. If you look closely you'll see irises, purple cornflowers, honeysuckle, at least two varieties of daylilies, and an old mirror hanging on the back fence.

@Curator Y'know, I often wondered how they came up with that acronym. I always did think it was a little bit "yeeeeshhh..."

@bamfic @Curator My wife has lived with RA in both knees and one elbow since she was a girl, and obviously, she's never been crazy about that term.

@melissasage @fakemaxkeeble Abbie Hoffman actually did commit suicide, though he WAS driven to it — so, suicide, but sorta not suicide.

@bort @telecrush Celebrity culture is a rot, a contagion, a pollutant — a cultural pollutant, a social pollutant, a political pollutant; the cultural equivalent of rusted-out steel drums leaking radioactive sludge into the ground.

@Gargron I'm trying to move back to mastodon.social from mastodon.art, but I'm trapped in the "create an account alias" loop. The mastodon.social account is apparently "active", but I'm stuck at the the "create an account alias" step with no apparent next step.Where do I go from here?

@xenophora Oh, yeah; they both federate. I tried .art for a while; it's an OK place, but the traffic's a bit thin, and I decided that maybe I might find a wider audience at .social.

@xenophora Oh, yeah; they both federate, at least as far as I know. At least the accounts are able to follow each other; I'm no expert, though. I tried .art for a while; it's an OK place, but the traffic's a bit thin, and I decided that maybe I might find a wider audience at .social.

@Gargron Oh, yeah; I went through that whole part, created an alias as requested. So I read that right... "this action will move all followers..."So, basically I don't really need to do any more about that, just wait for the network to register the change?
