I think the biggest downside so far to the twitter migration has been the blow to the quality of interactions. I'll give them a few more weeks before I go through and purge a bunch of my recent follows.

One more class in the books. Ended up with a 98 on the final and a 99 for the class. I need to figure out how to lighten up a little bit on my perfectionism next semester lest I risk burning out.

@frank_bough @GossiTheDog it's not really new behavior, they've just gotten more aggressive about it. I had issues with similar nonsense in 2016 when trying to share links to my GNU Social instance.

@sim the jet account simply shared ads-b data, something that all civilian planes do. Even military planes often fly with their ADS-B transponder on when in civilian airspace. @malwaretech I managed to get diagnosed when I had a battery of tests done by a neuropsychologist. The bulk of the tests were to confirm that I was on the spectrum but she offered to throw in a couple for adhd too. I had to take that diagnosis to a psychiatrist to start getting the meds to treat it. @Aphrodite @alyssam_infosec

@hacks4pancakes this reminds me of my experience with a radio club not long after I got my license. The mostly retired members volunteered me to a board position that I was upfront about being uncomfortable with (it was a public facing position and I'm autistic). I stepped up and took care of it for a year but when the next year's elections came around and they tried to do so again, I resigned my membership and haven't looked back. So much of what I've seen in the replies to your recent threads about ham radio is unfortunately true. It's not so bad if you stick to the hacker community, but that's still a tiny part of an otherwise largely unpleasant lot.

@hallam ostatus, what we used before Mastodon and AP, supported them. I wouldn't hold you breath waiting for them to be implemented.

@hallam they worked well with GNU Social, though not quite like what I think you're talking about. A bang tag was used to post to the group.https://thomask.sdf.org/social/en/user/tags.html I think the privacy/ scope issues are the reason it hasn't been implemented yet in AP. The OStatus groups were also hosted by an instance and were lost if the instance went down.
