@dynamicIt depends on what you expect.Friendica/Hubzilla are definitely the most developed Fediverse platforms. As multi-protocol platforms with an add-on system, they are extremely customisable. In addition, as the original Fediverse platform, they were created with strong data protection in mind. The feature density can make them a little more demanding to use.

@z428Bevor ein Node verschwindet, wäre es natürlich erstrebenswert ihn zu erhalten. Dabei sind ggf. verschiedene rechtliche Aspekte zu beachten, die nicht unerheblich sind. Immerhin stellt eine solche Übernahme einen rechtlichen Akt dar, der abgesichert werden muss. Die neuen Betreiber müssen akzeptiert werden (vertrauen) und die Daten der Nutzer müssen unter den gleichen Bedingungen (Datenschutz) weitergeführt werden.Dabei stellt sich mir die Frage, wie der Admin eines Node u.U. Hilfestellung aus der Community erhalten kann, um technische oder organisatorische Unterstützung zu erhalten.Wenn ich die Ankündigung des Admin richtig verstanden habe, dann sind es unlösbare technische Probleme beim Update auf die nächst höhere Version von Mastodon, die den Druck so weit ansteigen lies, dass ein sicherer Betrieb unklar wurde. Vielleicht habe ich die Ankündigung auch falsch verstanden.Deine Intention (Text-Import des Archivs nach Friendica) finde ich richtig, weil es dabei helfen kann einen sicheren Hafen für die (online) Posthistorie zu schaffen, die unter den neuen Account weitergeführt wird. Der Datenimport sollte jedoch auf einen Zeitraum x begrenzt werden. Dies kann zu Moderationsaufwand führen, der bei unliebsamen Artgenossen notwendig werden kann.

In this case, I'm writing to you from Friendica. There have been groups here since 201x.Groups are used for thematic exchange but not for grouping pure broadcasters.Posts are shared within the group members. And groups are not displayed as normal accounts. This will be no different with Lemmy, Kbin and other platforms that use group functions.

When it comes to groups that deal with exchanges between different groups, there is no problem. There is the group specification that you use for this.Using @tagesspiegel-nachrichten-Tagesspiegel as an example, you can see that this account does not behave like a normal account. Instead, it is a "group" type account.It looks like all accounts below @Tagesspiegel behave like group accounts. I suspect that this is an attempt to combine different accounts into one root account. But that's not what this type is for.Why don't you create your own account on a platform that has group functions and observe the behaviour for yourself? I can't describe it in a few words.Since Mastodon does not support the "group" account type (like many other functions that are standard in the Fediverse), it would be an advantage if you would take the different platforms into account when implementing further functions on Flipboard. In this way, further inconsistencies can be avoided.

Am Samstag ein nettes Treffen mit Freunden gehabt. Das war ein schönes Wiedersehen. Haben uns u.A. auch über das Fediverse unterhalten. Was mich erstaunte.. bei dem Begriff Mastodon haben sie abgewunken. Meinungen: aggressiv, feindlich, eigenbrötlerisch.Der Begriff wirkt inzwischen Toxisch, wenn von der Mastodon Kultur gesprochen wird.

@marc Sehr geniale Nachverwendung 👏. Ich habe hier u.A. eine alte Raspi laufen. Generation 2.Mit wenigen Änderungen an der SQL DB reicht das für 3-4 Konten mit guter Performance. Muss man ein wenig austesten.

@andi @marcAb einer gewissen Anzahl von Konten kommst du mit der Standard SQL Konfig nicht mehr hin. Das ist richtig. Das ist aber auch lösbar.
