Getting the number of local variables from 92K (92376, lol) to 210 seems like a decent optimization.FFS, compilers are hard to write.

I had a great time writing a compiler with ChatGPT’s Codex (in Rust), so it seemed strange to me when people said LLMs are so bad at coding. That was until I needed to build a quick webpage that I didn't want to bother with too much and threw the spec at the LLM.Whelp, I suppose they are better at writing Rust only because the compiler doesn't allow them to do dumb things? Or maybe the general Rust code quality is higher, so they are trained on better material.Either way, I can write JavaScript faster and have it more readable, which sucks because I hate writing it :-D

@arichtman I think it’s more of a dumb design to never try to reload your CRDs after loading them at startup. If you failed to load a CRD you retry, not give up forever.

Why can't hi-fi setup use normal studio cables!/me grumbles because there's not enough XLR-XLR cables in the house even after raiding @wolfy's stash.

I feel like I'm doing something very weird but I'm not an audio guy. From my engineering POV if a preamp has a XLR output and my speakers have XLR inputs then it's good enough. Yes, I don't have a volume control knob at all but my speakers have ethernet-managed DSP for a reason!Something something sennheiser software being windows only ugh. There's https://github.com/schwinn/khtool but it can't find my speakers. It's probably not an audio problem but VLANs getting in the way./me takes off the headphones and wears a netops hat because clearly you need to figure mDNS before you can play the matrix score. Should have tried playing Bach instead, clearly.

NVMe update: power-cycling the server kicked it back in line. A weird thing is that one drive (the good one) shows 15tb written (seems a lot for a mostly idling server), but the other one (that's failed) shows a whooping 196tb in 100 days. I don't really have any load that'd write more than a tb per day and those are in raid1 to begin with.I'm very confused, mildly concerned, and I think lvm stack was a mistake because I haven't used it in a while and don't understand what's happening good enough.

@halfa it says region_size 4096, which I assume is sector sized. Both nvmes are 512e (with no 4kn option) so that’s 2mb chunks.
