@alexelcu @xbsharp i don't understand why, is it link to harassment? I often tag them in all case, so they are noticed in any case.. Is it a bad practice?

I published my view on #Scala3 migration and what it means for rudder.io.It's a tad long, the tdlr is in the abstract. I welcome feedbacks.https://blog.fanf.eu/posts/two-more-old-cents-on-scala-3-migration/

@alexelcu enum in Scala 2.13 would remove a lot of the source code migration problem I have. Going through enumeratum feels a bit wasting redources6:/Thank you for the link, very interesting

@alexelcu given your study on the subject, what would be the best way to migrate current Scala 2 sealed classes + sealarate macro for "values" to Scala 3? First going through enumeratum?

@alexelcu server less will mature and become the cloud-os, with standardisation of the runtime (wasm?), then componentization. We're 15 y away from that, but it will come. Then, is it the best solution? Now? For everything? Nop, triple nop. Does it inquires extrem lock-in risks? Yep, bigly. Like Unix in their time, windows afterward, and until (and if) someone can break the monopolies. Aws won't let it go without dirty fights, whatever is possible

@SethTisue @rossTwo main standard work hypothesis :1/ Some(null) is a sociopath, it reaches exactly the goal for which it disguised2/ the system produced it and working against Some(null) is not the correct hill to win over, we must change the system so that Some(null) aren't produced anymore.Given the context, 1 is the most plausible :p

@alexelcu @SethTisue ah yes, zero cost abstraction is another hill, and I'm glad you and other are fighting for it (for the other parts : that's unfair to taunt me with Scala 3 :p)

I really appreciate the mission that Musk set to himself to prove to the world that billionaires are in no way special master minds with immense talents or competencies, but just sociopathic parasits who are OK to go much farther than most humans to extract resources. So bad there's so many negative externalities for humanity.

@alexelcu ok so it has nothing to do with lack of agency. There's agency to get to the point where Musk is, even if clearly the system in which he has that agency created extremely positive feedback loops for him.The point is that talent or hard working is completely uncorrelated with "being a billionaire" - at least if you except "talented as con artists and resource extraction". The problem is the narrative that they are better / more apt humans and merits special positive treatment.
