This morning I released a new version of RoboHydra, my tool to play around and fiddle with HTTP and WebSocket _responses_. It's useful to test API clients (including mobile apps), help setup frontend-focused development environments, and more:http://robohydra.org/It doesn't really have any changes, just a small security update, and I don't expect to actively work on it for the time being, but it might be useful for someone.

But in this comic, Cheetolini sees the mills as... running mills? And he attacks them anyway? Also, which company is "censorship"? OofI hate that so muh software has become like this. I remember reading an article that called our relationship with our smartphone an "abusive relationship". It's not getting better.

I don't think it's just my impression, but who knows. I'm starting to feel that on Twitter, people write for themselves and their tribe: there are lots of assumptions baked in the tweets (so they are hard to interpret unless you know the person well), more sarcasm (same problem), and of course more dunking and such. I feel than on Fedi people write to express themselves (explicitly subjective) or to communicate with others.1/2

I hate it when elastic bands that one uses to close stuff, stretch and become useless.So, after doing something similar with my knee and elbow pads, I just sewed the elastic band in my current Moleskine 😅#crafts #LowStandards

@voltur you should try it! I don't remember how/where I got the idea of doing it for the elbow pads, but it worked decently well, so I decided to try with the Moleskine. It makes/made me so nervous to see it so... flaccid and useless 😖

I'm considering moving instances. Not sure where, but maybe weirder.earth (they run the Hometown fork, which I'm curious about).When you move instances both your follows and your "followees" move to the new one, yeah?It's a little sad to leave my first Mastodon home, but I don't really use the local timeline and it has gotten too big and annoying and it's blocked in some other instances, so...Any other instance recommendations, or instances I should avoid?

@Zergling_man Thanks for the info!Regarding Pleroma, what exactly does it have that Mastodon doesn't? I don't think I miss any features, really. Apart from being curious about Hometown's more local approach to things, I care more about moderation and the community that the software running it.

Not that I'm surprised, but Russell Brand is apparently a full-on conspiracy theorist now. A recent video of his discusses "power grabs" due to covid and although I refuse to give him views, the thumbnail, title, and video description are... concerning, to say the least 😕 It might have happened already a long time ago, I'm just not following what he's doing so I just found out.
