@ThatWouldBeTelling @meso @Osmium @cjd it's a registered trademark so you'd have to add (R) not TM :marseywink:, but actually it doesn't matter as long as you're not calling something that isn't JavaScript JavaScript, it's not a patent or anything, you might get in trouble if you make the name of your product contain "JavaScript" or "JS" but other than that, talking about it is fine. Also don't make it seem like it's your own product/trademark - this is the only reason you see stuff like "Java, JavaScript, and Sun are registered trademarks of Oracle, Inc." in fancy company websites

@ThatWouldBeTelling @meso @Osmium @cjd yep that's the "don't name your company/product" with a trademark thing. it also really depends, eg, oracle doesn't care that vue.js has js in the name bcs there's no money to be made from suing them. Google didn't care about Vanced (modified youtube apk which essentially gives you all the perks of youtube premium) until they had the bright idea to make a paid Vanced Pro version
