@paradroyd what software do you use on your TRS80 for calling BBS's? What term program? Why I ask is someone offered to start working on the Mister FPGA TRS80 core and he added serial/uart - hayes modem emulation .. Would like to give it a whirl .. if you got a DSK image that would be handy or point me to a link to get it.. thanks

@paradroyd someone happened to mention they were taking over development for the trs80 core and I threw the idea out .. they were happy to oblige .. dont follow the 8 bit atari forums but ill keep an eye out and mention it if someone asks about core updates.

@foone Why is there no "metric time" .. seems an obvious one there.

@robdaemon im switching things over to JellyFin, though im kinda annoyed at how it handles multiple directories for a library, if you have say the same artist folder in more than one directory it just ignores the others .. So using Navidrome for music till JF gets their database issues sorted (I guess a refactor is coming apparently) TV/Movies seem to be fine using my existing plex directories as they are all under one single path.

@paradroyd @robdaemon JellyFin really needs to fix the duplicates issue in the libraries path situation, since if you happen to have a sub dir in more than one library source all but one tends to get ignored.. Why I can't use it for music since I have a few collections that unfortunately have the same artist sub dir and when I try to add all of them, entire sources are ignored.. Someone in one of the forums? posted about the issue (guess a major DB rewrite is coming).

@paradroyd @robdaemon Ill keep my plex Docker running till they enforce the changes and everyone that uses my plex has had a chance to get switched over to my JellyFin (like you the use the same file paths for content so nothing missing).. Yea Plex is more polished but I didnt care for the "value add" direction they were going with streaming services and such ..

@paradroyd @robdaemon For now I setup a Navidrome docker and it works pretty well, I am still "exploring" so I might check into that .. Granted my music collection is in dire need of a cleanup (both in terms of file names and meta tags) but the path issue is a killer.. it would have been nice to get a 1:1 swap out vs relying on multiple apps .. and its not just me using this but my family, cousins etc.. so its a bunch of people I need to consider how they access it.

@paradroyd I've only ever see a humming bird twice in my life around here.. and only once at my current residence.. we had several very large butterfly bushes so its no surprise they were attracted .. never saw them again, tons of other critters, hawk moths, monarchs .. etc

@robdaemon Is there a special tool, app or method you are using to backup the passwords or just literally backing up the files as a simple file copy to nextcloud,?? If there is some provision in nextcloud for password storage id love to know more about this ..

@paradroyd Yes its pretty easy to and you can add art work to the carousel and control overlays .. someone actually went ahead and pre-created all the cfg and json/jpg files needed save for the rom files .. https://forums.atariage.com/topic/386394-sprint-game-metadata-files/

@paradroyd I should add, what I ended up doing was taking the matching rom int files from my mister and putting them with the files and using the .cfg file names to rename the rom int files (the filenames must match) ..
