       @Teri_Kanefield That's a great point that I had not realized.For non-lawyers, things seem slow because they are not used to the pace of litigation. Weeks seem like a long time when you aren't used to things taking months.

       Publicly, #desantis is screaming that he’ll defend Trump from extradition, Constitution be damned. Quietly, the Florida legislature waited until Trump was indicted, and the new cycle was distracted to advance a bill that will allow DeSantis to run for president without having to resign his position as a governor.People should not underestimate this guy. He looks the buffoon, but he is quite smart.

       The thing is, it is perfectly intellectually consistent to say “I am a conservative who believes that conservative policy choices lead to better outcomes than liberal ones, and I also do not support Nazi-worshiping weirdos who skirt ethics to try to influence Justices”So it is telling that no one seems to be taking that position.
