@Paradox small town isn't that different, only you have more of a chance of having to work with drug addicts these daysperhaps in a bygone age small town bartenders could be like that but not in the late boomer era, again, at least here

@Paradox I've been to a few in Canada and the US and the vibe is more personable and chill, but can also more judgey, gossipy, conformist. They do a lot to stiffle the type of va11-hall-a vibe from being present.Vincent from Collateral says of LA that "it's a million people together but no one knows each other", and from what I see small towns are "a few hundred people who know each other very well but gossip about private lives non-stop". It's hard to have that open and chill vibe with that.

@Paradox that can happen less in small towns, if they know each other, except if you get touristsSome of my family owns a restaurant/bar in a small town that gets "tourists" in the summer and they are the worst

I have been thinking about designing an OC character representing myself, and I am in a bit of a dilemma, between four designs. 1) "modern" design, coat and winter cap. Kind of WW1-ish. Focused more on my lackadaisical or beer focus. 2) Fantasy themed. Medium armored with a polearm as a weapon. Kind of like a guard. Imaginative focused.3) Sci fi or Cyber like Jenson from Deux Ex HR. Occupation-derived. 4) A wolf. Literal wolf with maybe clothing. Good for an avatar?But I realize, I can actually use all of these. Just for different projects. Of course, this is putting the cart before the horse as I must get good at drawing first. But designing these could help me as practice models to get better.
