While there are newer and better ways like Matrix, Rocketchat, I don't understand why most foss projects still communicate with irc on freenode.

@jrballesteros05 How does the Matrix platform relate to IRC? Many IRC servers seem to be integrated with the matrix server.

@jrballesteros05 I just shared the password of my freenode IRC record in a public group. I blur the password, but I did the initial version and I didn't notice it for 5 minutes. I changed it immediately when I realized it, but if someone entered it, can they change it again using their active session after I changed it? Of course, I don't know if my record will work in case of theft, but it is also linked to my e-mail.

love using Gnome. I even thought of joining Gnome for a while. However, I could not understand why the Gnome took such a harsh stance against RMS and FSF. RMS is just a pot-bellied software developer who can say his ideas without much thought.

@ryo I hope the whole Gnome community and project are not in the same ideology in this case. Otherwise I can really stop using Gnome.

@ryo Even against a Gnome as one opinion and I will continue to contribute to others. Just like RMS continues to help Xorg despite everything. After all, these softwares are all of us. Software has no ideology. People do.

@kev nah. Windows.. I guess I heard it a few times. What is that? 🤔 (I don't like Ubuntu cause of a lot of things. (I don't like Ubuntu cause of a lot of things. The infamous Snapd, its unstable nature, being heavy and bloated, ruining Gnome. Cannonical's for GNU / Linux and technology, except for Marketing and a couple of useless things. What contribution does it have?))
