@ZachWeinersmith I assume it's like the Axis alliance in WW2. A mix of expedience but also shared values: collectivism (especially racism and sexism of all forms including anti-LGBT), anti-democracy, the Fuhrerprinzip. Especially that last one, which distinguishes them from totalitarian left-wing states.

@interfluidity Back when they canned RSS feeds for Google alerts, their explanation was that there wasn't any point in supporting RSS, since they'd recently shut down Google Reader.

@rms The Government of Palestine - democratically elected some years ago before they ended democracy there - has the liquidation of the state of Israel as their stated aim.I applaud the sentiment of bringing them closer together, but I don't see how you could even begin that process so long as Hamas remains in power.

@drewdevault I installed FreeBSD on an ancient X200 recently, to start daily-driving it again. Sort of a test-bed prior to switching over my main machine (a desktop), while I work out the kinks in my setup scripts and make them play nicely with 14.1.Sourcehut is one of the few websites I use regularly that performs well on such old hardware (Core 2 Duo w/ 4GiB RAM). Not only is it fast, the layout is just fine for a small screen.Big 🤗 for some quality software 🎉
