@BeAware @lonelyowl DeepL can’t do Japanese well too. and ChatGPT always mix Japanese and Chinese cause we share some common Japanese Kenji/Chinese characters. DeepL only translates, never rewrite whole text, whereas ChatGPT always thinks it’s smarter than human users and therefore rewrite everything…the worse thing is sometimes it IS smarter than me 🌚

话说回来，地方政府如果没有联邦数据库的话，就算看了现场提供的纸张证明文件，也无法核实吧。造假估计也很容易？所以需要地方选举官员有访问联邦数据库的权限。但这么一来又涉及到隐私安全问题了。

@shironeko 大致看了下，并没有要求公民证明，只是要求带照片的ID，并且没有的话还有其他替代方案如填表格签声明等。我不太理解为什么说这是故意排除黑人选民。弄丢ID证件或者没钱办理这种事儿谁身上都会发生，怎么会和种族肤色必然挂钩？“黑人或棕色人种很有可能没有任何有效ID”这个叙事听起来非常离奇。而且就算存在这样的关联性，正常思路难道不该是推进费用减免和办理服务，而不是不许投票时看看你和证件是否同一人？美国有很多需要带照片ID才能办事的场合，总不能说都是在歧视黑人吧？

@shironeko 那就应该证件服务和选举安全配套同步推进，而不是一推选举安全就嚷嚷压制选民种族歧视然后彻底否决。这样下去困难群体的问题永远不可能也没有动力去解决。而且要说办理证件的成本穷人难以承受还可以说得通，说是种族歧视就说不通了吧。要照这样说美国各种要求ID的事务场合都可以算歧视黑人了……

@shironeko 在我看来现在两党都把党争放在了第一位，极化的选民促进了极化的党争，无所不用其极的党争又煽动了更极化的民意对立，一切议题的讨论都背离了初衷，陷入了一种意识形态斗争、话术表演和操控传播的恶性循环。缺乏稳健的中间派认真就议题本身寻找妥协解决之道。
