Just saw a #bobcat while out walking our #cat Oliver. Oliver tried to run over to attack the bobcat and the bobcat was sauntering over to get a tasty Oliver snack. I was able to grab Oliver and carry him home but he's still mad at me that I didn't let him tangle with a bobcat 🙄#Monterey #California #wildlife

@MLE_online @ai6yr @c_dan4th an acquaintance in Colorado has a business converting old 4x4s to be fully electric usually using leaf parts. He makes it look pretty easy if you've got a shop and know a bit about welding and electronics.

@tomjennings @MLE_online @Affekt most of the $20k conversion fee he quotes on his website for using a Leaf as the donor vehicle is labor and his know-how. Someone with mechanical and electrical aptitude, and an appropriate shop space with tools could do a similar conversion for less than $10k.For comparison, a crate motor 22RE for an old Toyota starts at $5k and by the time you've got everything else you need, it'll be more like $7kMy old Toyota needed an engine and I went through pricing it

Trying to load #LineageOS onto a #Motorola #MotoG7 river and it's not going super well 😅The instructions on the Lineage site aren't great and elsewhere it seems they're just wrong. I do have the bootloader unlocked and I was able to side load the boot image via adb.But then I can't get it to boot into LineageOS.I'm missing a step somewhere. I'll play more with it this weekend.As far as I know this is the only OS available for this phone. Any others I should try?#android

With what happened today, it reminds me of how I was on a 🔫📃 of a student at a prior university and all that the university did was tell me about it and that I should watch my back.Campuses are generally not safe because they're open spaces. There isn't a big security fence and metal detectors. Campus police aren't everywhere at all times. And most of the time it's just fine.But sometimes it isn't.

@ai6yr I have been thinking lately that the stingray thing isn't all that important anymore because the Telcos that run the real towers will simply hand over any data they're asked for. Why bother with a finicky stingray when the entire network is a purpose built system for wide area surveillance?
