Are there any good podcasts out there that cover Mastodon, Fediverse, ActivityPub and the like from a technical perspective. Some kind of deep dive into the ideas, technical implementation, maybe interviews with maintainers and so on?

@mike @LPS @cwebber You got it right. I am interested in these topics and there might be hundreds of services that either already use ActivityPub or plan to use it and connect to the Fediverse. IMHO the topic is large enough to have its own podcast that covers those stories, outlines how people have implemented their solutions, talk about the technical details, discuss want went good and not so good and give some background information about the persons behind those solutions.

@mcol @ataraxia937 I like Posteo, but I don't like their decision to not support custom domains. Does anyone have experiences with mailbox.org? Because they seem similar but do support custom domains.

@kev Thank you for sharing your opinion! So in my setup that includes a custom domain I have to decide between a bad customer service (mailbox) and an external MX server that is necessary for forwarding emails (posteo). Both not very great options... @mcol @ataraxia937

So Corona warning apps still do not work without the Google Play Store on Android devices. Shame on you, Google. That should have been integrated in AOSP right from the beginning. https://github.com/corona-warn-app/cwa-documentation/issues/5

@Matter While I agree that they can reach users much faster through their Play Store services than through an operating system update, it is still a problem. The code is not open source, so we have to trust Google's implementation blindly. Also there are devices, such as my one, which have no Google Play Store services installed. I would like to contribute my data but I can't because the app will not run on my phone.

@bfdi @butterflieshope Sieht der Workflow nicht vor, dass der BfDI bei bekannten Verstößen diese zumindest an die zuständige Behörde weitergeben muss? Wenn alle immer nur mit dem Finger auf andere zeigen und noch nicht mal den Kollegen selbstständig einen Hinweis geben, dann wundert es mich nicht, dass der Zustand ist, wie er ist. Das finde ich wirklich sehr bedauerlich!

@bfdi Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es Bürger:innen mehr motivieren würde, wenn zwischen Meldung und Statusupdate nicht viel Zeit ins Land geht. So bekommt man fälschlicherweise(!) oft den Eindruck, dass auf der anderen Seite ja gar nichts passiert. Das schadet dann widerrum Ihrer Reputation und sorgt dafür, dass weniger gemeldet wird. Es wäre schön, wenn man zeitnahes Feedback bekäme - und gerne auch über kleine Schritte informiert wird. Zumindest mich würde das sehr motivieren.
