@aral This is actually a thing. It is visual consistency that helped me make the jump from macOS to Linux many years ago.I’m not a techie plus a very visual user, and if it weren’t for @elementary OS' much-derided styleguide, I would probably still sit in my gilded iCage wondering what might be on the other side.I had tried other distros, but being unable to see the beauty of code or licenses, you’re left with the GUI and UX – and coming from macOS, most felt like an assault on the senses.

For years I saw this car in my neighborhood, assuming its owner simply attached some pre-printed ornamental foil.Then one day recently, I saw this young lady squatting in front of it, edding marker in hand, carefully adding line for line.And I realized: the whole sprawling floral madness of sea-horses, algae and jellyfish is completely handmade! P.S. If you feel like you'll never have the time or skills to flash a phone but crave an alternate, Google-free phone, you have the following three options (I'm aware of) atm: 1.) Sailfish OS: apart from the odd already flashed device on Ebay et al, you can go to the shop at https://jolla-devices.com and see what's in stock (not too much atm, but Xperia 10 is on the horizon and will be available through this page); 1/3
