@susie@blob.cat the generic store mushrooms i see where i'm at are just labeled as "white" mushrooms, and stuff that uses them tend to end up labeled as being "mushrooms"

@susie@blob.cat this is in walmart, and many other large stores and restaurants, so, if it weren't allowed trouble would have been raised yesterdaypack of mushrooms just labelled as "white mushrooms", i have a can thats just labeled as "mushroom pieces", if you go to a restaurant and find something with mushrooms it'll just be labelled as just that, like "steak and mushrooms" (unless they're trying to be fancy by specifying shiitake mushrooms or something, but if they're not then its just "mushrooms")now to be fair, other types of mushrooms are labeled as what they are, but the generic type, nah those are just mushroomsif i had to guess this is one of them weird americanisms

is the "you have to unplug your devices when they're fully charged or it could harm/overcharge the battery" actually still a thing, or is it just an urban mythI'm fairly certain modern battery charging circuits (especially for Li Ion cells in phones and such) should be smart enough to not overcharge the battery if left plugged in, but I'm not 100% certain

so the answers confirm mostly what i already knewi imagined it'd be a thing in older battery tech where the charger amounts to just throwing a set voltage at the cell and hoping it charges, but i was pretty sure that the Li-Ion battery circuits in any modern device would be smart enough to not overcharge the battery so you could safely leave it plugged in all night(i knew about the thing where keeping the battery within 30-80% would make it last longer than doing full charge/discharges but thats aside the point, i was wondering in the 'leave it plugged in all night' kind of deal)i asked because i had someone tell me not to leave something plugged in charging for too long to not risk damaging it

hey, odd question to fedi, does anybody know how to change the gpu order / default gpu in linux (specifically with 2 amd GPUs, one integrated one dedicated, and on gnome wayland)for some reason my install has randomly decided to swap the order of the GPUs, and is treating the dedicated gpu as if it was the integrated gpu and vice versa, so things like gnome, firefox, discord, are all running on the dedicated gpu instead of the integrated onepart of the reason i leave the integrated gpu enabled is so that things like my thousand browser tabs can all fight over the integrated gpu without taking away resources from gpu compute stuff or gaming stuff (it does actually make a pretty big difference i notice, gnome and firefox are currently lagging from the gpu load, while if things were running on the igpu as they were supposed to then the desktop would stay unaffected by whatever i'm hammering the gpu with, and whatever i'm hammering the gpu with would stay unaffected by the desktop)as it is now i lose that offloading advantage, and the only thing the igpu is doing is being an extra hdmi port
