Looks like Meta has drawn a line in the sand; tonight, "Share to Twitter" has disappeared from Instagram. Can't say I'm surprised, or upset; any rational actor would be distancing themselves from that dumpster fire of a platform as quickly as possible at this point.

@kingu To be fair, the top room was right through that doorway at the end of the bottom hallway.

@TomSellers Note that Electron patched this back to v22 and forward to v26 and v27 (in beta), not just v24 and v25; the fixed versions are:22.3.24, 24.8.3, 25.8.1, 26.2.1, 27.0.0-beta.2https://security.snyk.io/vuln/SNYK-JS-ELECTRON-5892810

@clive @baloo @benbradley I definitely read it as the physical machines, not the data; they even mention a few paragraphs prior that they moved the data via internet bandwidth (the whole four-petabytes-took-a-full-day paragraph). In terms of why this article focused on movement of non-data-filled servers, I read it as part of their commentary on the sheer logistics of standing up all these data centers in the short window before their AWS contract expired.
